Our Story
Burrata Joy and Gustavo Lapasta were born from two simple ideas:

To bring delicious, affordable Italian food to Singapore
Burrata Joy began in the kitchen of Garibaldi, offering salad bowls topped with plain burrata, along with a few sides and starters. The name reflects the joy of gathering around food with family and friends - a sentiment burrata perfectly represents as a beloved sharing dish.
Gustavo Lapasta followed shortly after, launched from a Deliveroo cloud kitchen. “Gustavo” translates from Italian as “I used to taste” - a testament to the comforting pastas we grew up enjoying at home in Italy. During the pandemic, when being far from home meant we couldn’t experience those flavours, we set out to recreate them here in Singapore.
With growing demand and overwhelming support, we eventually opened a physical location in Katong, combining both brands under one roof. This outlet officially opened on January 7th, 2022.
Fuelled by continued support, we expanded with a second outlet in Bukit Timah on November, 4th 2024 - all thanks to the community that’s grown with us every step of the way.
The Idea
Both outlets were designed with a casual, laid-back vibe - the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy quality time with family and friends.
Our menu centres around our signature Burrata Salad Bowls and a wide range of pastas, where you can mix and match your preferred pasta shape with a variety of sauces - and yes, you can always top it with a creamy Burrata! 🍝🧀
In March 2024, we expanded the menu to include pizzas, with the option to add Burrata (of course!) - because more burrata is always a good idea.
We chose Katong and Bukit Timah because of their family-friendly, community-driven vibes - the perfect fit for the kind of neighbourhood spot we wanted to create: warm, welcoming, and full of flavour. Think generous portions, saucy plates, and a team that knows your name.
